The Old Pori village centuries in the region Avarnitsa upon threat of slaughter of the inhabitants moved to Paleochora, then moved to Palaiochori and ultimately to resources, the current position.
Within a vast forest of black pine areas, strawberry, walnut and cherry. The forest part belongs to the eastern slopes of Mount Olympus with forest roads and hiking trails, panoramic views of the Thermaikos Gulf (North Aegean), with the opposite coasts of Chalkidiki.

The few inhabitants regained vitality of the village in 1995 with the power supply and operation of the first tavern in the village square opposite the Byzantine church of Saint George.
In traditional settlement of the previous century, was with the villages (Old) Agios Panteleimon and (Old) Skotina, the places where the movie was filmed "Alexander the Great".
